And now, let's check in with the shopping malls.......

Of course, Eastwood's Santa makes his whirlybird landing.  But on the west side of town, we have ... ummmm ...

I'm sorry, but that's about as exciting as the nameless generic store-brand cereal "mascots."   (But I wonder what MGM had to say about that "Leo the Lion" character?)

Then we had Brookwood.  The new mall in town had Santa; however I'm sure he was a "designer model":
Of course, shopping malls weren't the only place St. Nick showed up.   5PW's ace on the plate was the time-tested "breakfast with Santa":


Somehow, it's easy to imagine this Santa doing what DIsney came to call the "Goofy Scream":  "Yah-hah-hah-hah-hooey!"

Some of these books had been in print for nearly 30 years at the time, and were still big sellers!
