Well, not every idea can be a smasheroo hit.

Late in the night -- ohhh, I'd say early in 1971 or thereabouts -- Col. Sanders received a threatening visit from a most ominous foursome: Long John Silver, Arthur Treacher, H. Salt, and a little boy named D.  The next day, the Colonel issued a memo, and all Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants stopped selling fish.

The sale only came once a year, but those 
avacado appliances 
went on forever.

And if you couldn't get past the police, you could probably see the same things by peeking in your neighbor's window.
