FIVE POINTS WEST "MINI-MALL" OPENS AUGUST 22!

But ... but ... I thought this was a Channel 13 documentary about the production of Mid-Day ....

Meanwhile, Sherwood Schwartz was thinking, "Hey, this would be a great concept for a TV show.  But maybe we should make it three kids each.  18 would be rather clumsy for a tic-tac-toe picture grid.  And 'Schultzy' could play the live-in maid."

The late '60s seemed to be shake mania ... General Foods had their "Great Shakes" mixes, and Borden countered with a ready-to-drink product of their own.

My Dad spent his entire adult career working for Sears & Roebuck.  As a "Sears child", anything with Winnie the Pooh on it is like a hippie's ugly bad-acid flashback.  Make it stop.  Please.

Usually, it was the rock & roll artists who got the short end of the proofreading stick, but here it's poor ol' lush-maker MANTOVANI whose name had mixed-up vowels.

Oh, and Petulia Clark ... wasn't she the one who sang "Downtowin?"

Herman's Hermits?  That's so 1966.
