50th ANNIVERSARY SALUTE TO EASTWOOD MALL
Full of articles and advertisements of the mall's grand opening in 1960!

The first Eastwood Mall sign from August 1960, just before the mall's grand opening.  An identical sign was erected at the rear entrance on Montclair.  In the Summer of 1965, this sign along 78 would be replaced by a new and grander marquee, which you see toward the top of the page.

LEGALESE: This page is NOT an official website for Eastwood Mall ... a ludicrous thought in itself, as the mall is no more!   It's a historical/tribute document, and nothing more.  All photos on this site either were taken by the Webmaster, or are from other collections who are credited.  Please do the courtesy of asking permission before using any of these pictures on another website. In most cases I won't mind, so long as they're pictures I took ... but remember, many you see on this site are others'.  They deserve consideration, too.  Simple good manners, my friend.  I trust your mother raised you to know this.
