Road & Oporto Avenue
Looking south as you're going away from Eastwood Mall. 40 years ago, it was a relatively tranquil intersection. Today, it's very congested and busy. The American station is now a Walgreen's, the residence
on the southeast corner has been home to a Texaco station since at least
1970 (the McDonald's is next door), Cooper's BBQ was replaced by Aladdin
Cleaners .... but the Standard Oil (Chevron) station is still going - although
now as a typical self-serve outlet with a food kiosk.
